Teachers will be able to create classes, share and grade assignments/quizzes right through the platform. Classroom helps you keep assignments organized and improve communication between you and your students in and out of school.
Teachers must use the Google web browser version by visiting classroom.google.com (on your desktop/laptop computer) to fully utilize Google Classroom. It is not recommended that you use the mobile APP.
Students can use the Google Classroom web version and the Classroom mobile APP to access their teacher's classes.
For teachers using Zoom place your meeting ID code/link and sessions password for each class on Google Classroom by posting a general announcement.
Effective 2021-2022 school year, we are now required to use our NYCDOE account (@schools.nyc.gov) for teachers and (@nycstudents.net) for students.
All of your schedule classes will automatically be transferred and appeared in your NYCDOE Google Classroom account.

Signed Into Multiple Accounts
If you are having trouble accessing files that have been shared with you, or you don’t see extensions or add ons, you may be signed into multiple accounts, which can cause conflicts. To fix this, sync your Chrome personalities

You can manually transfer over your folders and files from your AV account (@aviationhslic.org) to your NYCDOE account (@schools.nyc.gov). Click here to complete and follow the instructions on the slide.

You can manually transfer over your Google Classroom classes from your AV account (@aviationhslic.org) to your NYCDOE account (@schools.nyc.gov). Go to https://classmigrator.com/ to complete and follow the instructions on the site.

faq's
Why can't I email anyone from Google Classroom!?
Answer: You can! To email students from google classroom on the DOE Google Workspace, you must be logged into the chrome browser and have sync enabled. Once you do this, an extension called " Gmail Link Redirect " will be force installed. Outlook will now open when you click email in google classroom.
